Major road closures are expected around Downtown and The Palm as early as 4:00 PM, with authorities recommending using the Dubai Metro, which typically runs 24 hours during the festive period. Pedestrian bridges and tunnels across Dubai Creek will be closed from approximately 4 pm onwards on December 31. Do not drive Downtown after 3 PM: with more than 800,000 people expected near Burj Khalifa alone, temporary road closures will be implemented. Park-and-ride facilities offering around 20,000 parking spaces will be available for visitors travelling from outside central areas. Free shuttle bus services will be offered to and from designated parking spots, which can come in handy when you are trying to leave Downtown Dubai after the fireworks.

At Burj Park, doors open at 12:00 PM. Badge collection for entry to Burj Park runs from Dubai Mall and Dubai Hills Mall between December 26th and 30th, and is mandatory for entry to Burj Park and access to specific areas. Book Return Transport Before You Celebrate

Ferries and Abras will depart from Marina Mall and Al Ghubaiba between 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM for front-row views of the fireworks away from the shore crowds. Do not assume you can get a taxi at midnight—taxis will operate as normal before road closures but will not be able to access Downtown once closures are in effect. Plan on metro home or arrange a private driver. While you can enjoy the New Year fireworks show for free at the Dubai Mall and the Dubai Fountain, you must book tickets to Dhow Cruise parties, New Year Gala Dinner Cruises, or private yacht parties. Bookings can generally be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 48–72 hours before the event date; New Year's Eve dates often carry stricter, non-refundable terms closer to December 31st given high demand, with full terms shown at checkout before you confirm payment. If you cannot secure anything, stay home, watch the livestream, and avoid the city entirely.

Pedestrian bridges and tunnels across Dubai Creek will be closed from approximately 4 pm onwards, with it being crucial for attendees to be aware of these restrictions and plan their routes accordingly, especially if arriving by water taxi or planning to cross the Creek. Do not plan to drive yourself home at midnight. Significant road closures and traffic diversions are expected across key areas, particularly around Downtown Dubai and the vicinity of the Burj Khalifa. Do not assume free seating exists. Hotel lobby views are sold as packages—book before October if you want a window table at any Downtown restaurant. (October has passed. Do it now.)
