From the viewing platforms you get some of the best views of Marina Bay Sands, the ArtScience Museum and the Singapore skyline—a fantastic spot for photos, particularly at sunset or after dark. It's wide, easy to walk and completely free. At night the bridge comes alive with LED lights illuminating in a spectrum of vibrant colours, casting glowing reflections on the water. Walking across under the canopy of changing hues with the Marina Bay Sands light show in the background is unforgettable.

Supertree Grove is free; OCBC Skyway and Cloud Forest dome are paid. Access via Bayfront MRT, then a five-minute walk. Best time is sunset to blue hour for the light show. You don't need to pay for paid attractions here—the ground-level views of the Supertrees lit against the evening sky are sufficient, and the crowds at the free level mean better positioning if you arrive 30 minutes before the evening light show.

Ce La Vi sits atop Marina Bay Sands and offers some of the very best views of Singapore, especially at dusk and evening when the city lights up. The drink prices are high, but it's not so bad if you go for one drink and photograph extensively. Be warned, you will need to pay to enter if not dining – redeemable against a drink. This is for the sunset slot when the crowd is smallest and the light is most cooperating. Book ahead, arrive at 6:00 PM, order a single cocktail, and own the evening.
1-Altitude (now HighHouse and Nova)
