The 10 best happy hours in Singapore, ranked
Ten weekly drink deals worth planning a Tuesday around, from $10 rooftop rounds on Boat Quay to free steak sandwiches at Morton's.
Six-fifteen on a Wednesday, and the lift at 80 Boat Quay is doing the thing it does every weeknight: opening onto a rooftop already three deep at the bar, everyone still in lanyards, oysters going past on trays. Downstairs on Tyrwhitt Road the crowd is quieter and better dressed in a scruffier way, working through craft taps at ten dollars while the kitchen sends out a second plate of wings nobody paid for. Singapore's happy hour is not a consolation prize. It is the shape of the evening, and it closes fast. This ranking is ordered by three things, in this order: value per dollar for what actually lands in the glass, reliability week after week rather than a one-off launch promo, and how likely you are to get a seat if you walk in at six without a booking. That last one matters more than it sounds. A brilliant deal in a twenty-seat room is a worse plan on a Friday than a decent deal somewhere you can always squeeze in, which is why a couple of very good bars sit lower than their pricing alone would suggest. Everything here runs weekly, not as a limited series, and every price and window below comes from a source published this year. Bars being bars, windows shift and public holidays are usually excluded, so call ahead if the whole evening depends on it. If you only book one, make it the first.
Tyrwhitt Road, craft beer taproom; drinks $10, Sun–Thu to 7pm

From Sunday to Thursday, from opening until 7pm, craft beers, highballs and wines are $10, and there is a 1-for-1 food special that changes by the day — truffle fries, wings, nachos, tacos. Order the beer you have never heard of and let the second plate arrive; this is the rare happy hour where the food deal is as good as the drinks one. Public holidays and their eves are out.
Robertson Quay and Customs House; El Loco Hour, daily 3pm–7pm, from $10
stockFour hours, seven days a week, and two riverside terraces to choose between — this is the widest net any deal in the city casts. El Loco Hour runs 3pm to 7pm daily at both Robertson Quay and Customs House, with frozen margaritas, beers and selected wines from $10. Take Customs House if you want the Marina Bay skyline doing the heavy lifting, Robertson Quay if you want the walk home to be short and the tacos to keep coming.
Rooftop, 80 Boat Quay; Mon–Thu 5pm–8pm and all day Sunday, from $10
stockFive floors above the river, open-air, and the after-work crowd arrives on the dot. Drinks and bites start at $10 across oysters, sparkling wine, beer and a long spirits list, Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 8pm, with the whole of Sunday included. The Sunday clause is the reason it sits this high: a rooftop with a full-day deal on the one afternoon nobody is in a rush is a better use of your weekend than most brunches.
Level 2, COMO Orchard; daily from 3pm, S$12 nett
stockNett is the word that earns this its place — $12 is the number you pay, not the number before service charge and tax do their quiet work. Cocktails such as the Smoking Whisky and Strawberry Groni, plus wines, Asahi and bar bites, all land at S$12 nett daily from 3pm. Get the prawn dumplings with Szechuan spice and the wagyu sliders, sit near the window, and let the Orchard crowd stream past below without you.

stockSeven hours is not a happy hour, it is a working day, and Brotzeit runs German beers, selected wines and cocktails at S$12.50 from 11am to 6pm Monday to Friday, public holidays excepted. Nobody will pretend this is the most interesting drink in Singapore. It is, however, the one you can always get: multiple outlets, big tables, a pretzel the size of a steering wheel, and no queue at four in the afternoon when a colleague texts to say they are leaving early.

11 Neil Road; 11@11, Tue–Sat 4pm–6pm, $11 craft cocktails
Small, low-lit and easy to walk past, which is roughly the point. The 11@11 window runs Tuesday to Saturday from 4pm to 6pm with craft cocktails at $11, from a rotating line-up that has recently included the smoky Japanese Razorblade, the Coco-Chee Daiquiri and the Americano Americano. Order the white wine mussels alongside. It ranks below the bigger rooms only because the seats run out early — arrive at four, not five, and it is the best-value proper cocktail in town.
CBD shophouse rooftop; daily 5pm–7pm, drinks $10–$13
stockFour floors up a shophouse, fairy lights, a spiral staircase round the back for anyone who refuses the lift. Happy hour runs daily from 5pm to 7pm: draught beers $10, whisky highballs $11, cocktails on tap $13. The tap cocktails arrive fast, which matters in a two-hour window, and the roofline view of the CBD winding down beats a skyscraper deck for anyone who prefers their sunset at eye level.
Mandarin Oriental, 5 Raffles Avenue; Mon–Fri 5pm–7pm
stockThe oldest trick in the CBD and still the most satisfying: signature MORtinis at happy hour prices, Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm, and complimentary filet mignon sandwiches keeping pace with them. The crowd is bankers and people who have known the bartender for a decade. Come hungry, take a bar stool rather than a table, and understand that the sandwiches disappear the moment they land.
34 North Canal Road; Leisure Times, daily 6pm–7pm
stockVinyl on the decks, garlic noodles on every second table, and a room that fills the way a good party does — slowly, then all at once. Leisure Times runs daily from 6pm to 7pm with cocktails at $16++, including the Hotel Nacional, Lemon Highball, Commando and Negroni, plus $14++ wines and $12++ Sapporo. It sits ninth on price and window length alone; on a pure night-out basis, a bar ranked No.23 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2025 charging this little for an hour is the smartest booking on the list.
Dempsey; AperiTorno, Wed–Fri 5.30pm–7.30pm, cocktails $15++
stockMassimo Bottura's Dempsey room does aperitivo the way it should be done, which is to say with snacks you did not order and no expectation that you will stay for dinner. AperiTorno runs Wednesday to Friday, 5.30pm to 7.30pm, with coastal-inspired cocktails at $15++ and complimentary bar snacks — try the Twist on the Spritz, or the Sunburnt, which leans on Calabrian chilli. Three days a week and a taxi from town is why it finishes tenth; the 60s beach-club interiors are why it finishes on the list at all.
